Islamabad Industrial Area zone during a drive against anti-social elements arrested 04 criminals involved in a series of theft incidents and recovered valuables and cash worth Rs 1.75 million from their possession, a Police Public Relation Officer said.
According to the details, following the special directives of Deputy Inspector General of Police (DIG) Operations Sohail Zafar Chatha, Islamabad capital police categorically crackdown against criminals elements to curb crime and arrest those involved in looting innocent people.
Industrial Area zone Noon police station team arrested four criminals involved in a series of theft incidents and recovered valuables and cash worth Rs 1.75 million from their Possession. The accused were identified as Asad Mehmud S/o Kareem Baksh, Sahzawal Khan S/o Ghulam, Qadir Khan S/o Zain ullah Khan and Rawal Masih S/o Basher Masih.
The accused have previous criminal records also. The accused Asad Mehmud was nominated in six cases registered in PS Noon and recovered Rs 1.5 lakh cash from his possession. Accused Sahzawal Khan and Qadir Khan were nominated in one case registered in Noon PS and recovered 04 livestock animals worth Rs 0.4 milln from their possession. Accused Rawal Masih was nominated one case registered in Noon police station and recovered Rs 1.1 million from his possession.
Cases have been already registered against the nominated accused and further investigation is underway.
Islamabad Capital Territory police have accelerated its efforts against criminal elements in the city to curb the crime and to save the lives and property of the citizens. Citizens are also requested to cooperate with police and inform about any suspicious activity around them.
