The law and order situation has worsened in Karachi as one person was killed and five others were injured in separate firing incidents over resisting the robberies.
Rescue officials told the media that a man was killed by muggers over resistance in Korangi’s Zia Colony. A man sustained injuries for resisting the robbers at Sanober Twin Town near the Saadi Town area.Four others got injured by the firing resorted to by street criminals at Gulshan-e-Maymar Bus Stop, Baldia N-4 Bus Stop and Lyari’s Jhat Pat Market.
The wounded persons were shifted to Jinnah and Civil Hospitals for medical assistance.
Earlier in the day, at least three people lost their lives after being electrocuted in Karachi during various rain-related incidents.
A man named Imran was pronounced dead due to electric shock in Karachi’s Azam Basti area.Abdullah also lost his life after electrocution in his home in Qasba Mianwali Colony. Four years old Bilquis was the third casualty reported in the metropolis. The minor girl was electrocuted to death in Landhi’s Daud Chalii.
On Wednesday morning, heavy showers lashed several areas of Karachi. The areas including Malir, Shah Faisal Colony, Landhi, Korangi, Gulistan-e-Jauhar, Saddar, Lyari, North Karachi, Surjani Town, Nagan Chowrangi, Godhra and other localities received heavy rain.
