A 5-day anti-polio drive is underway to immunize children below age of five as part of the government’s efforts to eradicate polio across the country. As per details, in Punjab, nineteen million children under the age of five years are being administered anti-polio vaccine during a five-day campaign.
Naushehro Feroze: The Deputy Commissioner Captain (R) Bilal Shahid Rao visited Polio camps set up near UC Fatoo Bilal near Moro on second day of Polio eradication campaign. According to details DC visited fix point of UC Fatoo Bilal,Team no 5B and Shah Muhammad Town. Assistant Commissioner Syed Mudasir shah and other officers were also present.DC administered Polio drops to children,He asked the Health officials and Polio Teams constituted for 4 day long polio vaccine to ensure maximum availability of preventive vaccine and administer polio drops.
Lodhran: Provincial Minister for Energy Dr Akhtar Malik has said that Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) government was all out to make the country polio free. While chairing a meeting at Deputy Commissioner office here Akhtar Malik said that Chief Minister Punjab Usman Buzdar himself was monitoring anti-polio campaign. He said 100 per cent target of vaccinating children would be achieved at all costs.
Commissioner Multan division Shan-ul-Haq informed the minister that complete verification of anti-polio teams and kids was being made through the third party. Deputy Commissioner Imran Qureshi said that 318,548 children would be given anti-polio doses.
