Police  raided the residence of former Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) MNA and ‘Fixit’ founder Alamgir Khan and booked him over “provocative wall-chalking against state institutions” within the precincts of the city’s Gulshan-e-Iqbal neighbourhood.A heavy contingent of police raided Khan’s house located in Gulshan Block-7 late on Friday night.

The personnel questioned his family members and the house help about the activist’s whereabouts, but left after they couldn’t find him inside the house.Soon after, a large number of PTI leaders, MNAs, MPAs and general workers reached Khan’s residence and chanted slogans against police.Speaking on the occasion, MPA Arsalan Taj claimed that at least 25 mobiles were involved in the raid and that the law enforcement agency shoved Alamgir’s servants to “barge inside”.He further said that the PTI strongly condemned the raid, saying some ‘suspicious persons’ were seen around the house a day earlier, questioning the house help.Taj further claimed that when they contacted police to check on the suspicious activity, they were told that there was a law and order situation in the city.
