Free media essential for betterment of country, nation: Atif

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Central Vice President and Minister for Food, Science and Information Technology of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Muhammad Atif Khan has said that free media is in the interest of the country and the nation. He added that free media is essential for the betterment of the country and the nation.

He was addressing the swearing-in ceremony of newly elected cabinet of Mardan Press Club on Thursday where he was the special guest. The ceremony was presided over by PTI Provincial Secretary Information Zahir Shah Toru MPA.

While Senator Faisal Saleem, Member National Assembly Mujahid Khan, Members Provincial Assembly Iftikhar Mashwani, Abdul Salam Afridi, Amir Farzand Khan, Malik Shaukat, Ravi Kumar besides Deputy Commissioner Mardan Habibullah Arif, DPO Irfanullah Khan, Haris Khan Toru, Sajid Iqbal Mohmand, Bakhshad Kashmiri, Central Organization of Traders leaders Ehsanullah Bacha, Zahir Shah, MS Dr Javed Iqbal, District Bar President Bawar Syed Khan Advocate and a large number of traders and journalists participated.

Atif Khan administered the oath of Press Club President Musarat Khan Asi, Vice President Falak Sher Khan, General Secretary Imran Younas, Joint Secretary Pervez Khan and Finance Secretary Faqir Hussain Hoti.
