The Secretary-General of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), Mr Hissein Brahim Taha, on 5 April 2022 in his office received the Consul General of the People’s Democratic Republic of Algeria in Jeddah, Mr Ahmed Mourad Marhoum.
During this audience, the Secretary-General commended the active role of Algeria in the work of the OIC and its support to joint Islamic action. For his part, the Algerian Consul General reaffirmed his country’s firm support to the OIC. The two sides also discussed some issues of shared interest.
Meanwhile, The Secretary-General of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), Mr Hissein Brahim Taha, on 5 April 2022 in his office received the Consul General of the Gabonese Republic and Dean of the African consular corps in Jeddah, Mr Abdelaziz Branly Oupolo.
The two sides explored ways to promote longstanding relations between the OIC and Africa, and discussed the common challenges of the African continent, especially in food security.—PR
