Narendra Modi-led fascist Indian government is denying space to Hurriyat leaders and activists by repeatedly arresting them on fake charges.

Indian police and troops arrested several Kashmiris during house raids and search operations in different areas of IIOJK during the last few days, said a report released, today, by Kashmir Media Service. It maintained that 96 Kashmiris were arrested in the last month of March in the occupied territory.

The report pointed out that the Indian authorities are implicating Hurriyat leaders, media persons, human rights defenders and even ordinary Kashmiris in fake cases to suppress the ongoing Kashmir freedom movement.

“India is using its notorious probe agencies like National Investigation Agency (NIA) as a weapon to intimidate the Kashmiris into submission. Illegally detained Kashmiris lodged in small cells in Indian jails are denied basic facilities including medical treatment and hygienic food,” it said.

The report maintained that mass arrests, raids and search operations in occupied Kashmir are manifest of Modi regime’s frustration to subdue the Kashmiris. It said the Kashmiri people are ready to render every kind of sacrifices in their struggle for securing their right to self-determination.

The report said that the international human rights organizations must take notice of unlawful detentions in IIOJK and hold India accountable for brazenly violating the prisoners’ rights.—INP
