China Study Centre (CSC), University of Peshawar’s activities continued unabated during Covid-19, says CSC’s annual report, according to Gwadar Pro.
The report says, “Pakistan and China have a consensus on bilateral, regional and global issues. Both countries supported each other through thick and thin and the win-win project China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) under the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI) is fully supported by Pakistan,” reads the annual report CSC, University of Peshawar
According to the report, the all-weather strong relations of both countries are based on mutual trust, respect, and goodwill, adding that the friendly relations have become stronger with the launch of BRI and CPEC. Professor Dr. Zahid Anwar, Director CSC, has compiled the Report 2020-21, which highlights different activities organized by the center. According to the report, despite the Covid-19 pandemic, CSC in a very short span of the time organized numerous seminars, conferences, and webinars on Pakistan and China relations and regional issues.
“To promote understanding and to strengthen collaboration in higher education, CSC is leaving no stone unturned,” said Professor Zahid Anwar. He vowed that the team of the Center will continue its academic activities to promote understanding about China in Pakistan. According to him, under the umbrella of CPEC various MoUs have been signed between the two countries to strengthen cooperation in culture, history, science, technology, higher education, and people to people contacts.
