Hot, dry weather expected in most parts of country

Mainly hot and dry weather is expected in most parts of the country during the next twelve hours. However, partly cloudy weather with rain-wind and thunderstorm is likely to prevail in Upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Gilgit Baltistan during the evening and night.

Temperature of some major cities recorded this morning. Islamabad and Muzaffarabad thirteen degree centigrade, Lahore twenty-one, Karachi twenty-three, Peshawar seventeen, Quetta fifteen, Gilgit seven and Murree eleven degree centigrade.

According to met office forecast for Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir, dry weather is expected in Srinagar, Leh, Pulwama and Shopian while hot and dry in Jammu, Anantnag and Baramulla.

Temperature recorded this morning: Srinagar, Pulwama, Anantnag eight degree centigrade, Jammu seventeen, Leh three and Baramulla and Shopian seven degree centigrade. Local Met Office on Sunday has forecast dry weather for the city during next 24 hours. The maximum and minimum temperatures recorded during last 24 hours were 39 centigrade and 21 centigrade, respectively. The dry weather has also been forecast for rest of the region.—APP
