Swedish Cos delegation visits Pakistan Pavilion at Dubai Expo

A delegation of world leading Swedish companies visited Pakistan Pavilion at Expo 2020 Dubai. The business networking event connected Swedish Business leaders in Pakistan and UAE to share experiences of working in the Pakistan market and the business opportunities available for the Swedish companies.

The event was attended by over 40 prominent companies and business leaders in Sweden and Pakistan.

H.E. Henrik Persson in his opening remarks discussed the significant Swedish business presence in Pakistan and their key contributions to boost Pakistani exports and create job opportunities.

‘Over 40 companies operates across many diverse industries. Companies such Ericsson, TetraPak, IKEA, Volvo have been present in the Pakistan market for decades.

These companies hold leading positions in the development of new environmental technology and sustainable solutions for social change’, he added.

Mr. Bashir Ali Muhammad, Chairman Gul Ahmed Textile Mills Limited shared his experiences of doing business with biggest Swedish brands as a supply partners which thereby scaled Pakistani exports to the global markets.

Business leaders from Swedish companies Ericsson, ABB, BIMA Milvik, Alf Laval and Nordic International School presented their business stories, key success factors and future plans for the market.

In the end’ Pauline Madani, President Swedish Business Council in UAE introduced the delegates to the council and scope of business services to the member companies.

The event was attended by over 40 renowed Swedish and Pakistani companies in telecommunications, technology, food, health, education and investment sectors.
