As many as 10 more patients of Coronavirus died overnight lifting the death toll to 8,058 and 530 new cases emerged when 10,779 tests were conducted.
This was stated by Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah in a statement issued here on Thursday.
He added that 10 more patients of COVID-19 lost their lives lifting the death toll to 8,058 that constituted 1.4 percent death rate. Shah said that 10,779 samples were tested which detected 530 cases that constituted 4.9 percent current detection rate.
Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah added that so far 7,882,490 tests have been conducted against which 563,344 cases were diagnosed, of them 91 percent or 512,601 patients have recovered, including 931 overnight.
The Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah said that currently 42,685 patients were under treatment, of them 42,481 were in home isolation, 9 at isolation centers and 195 at different hospitals.
He added that the condition of 178 patients was stated to be critical, including 14 shifted to ventilators.
According to the statement, out of 530 new cases, 119 have been detected from Karachi, including 46 from East, 32 South, 18 West, 14 Korangi, 8 Central and one Malir.
Hyderabad 140, Dadu 41, Naushero Feroze 28, Shaheed Benazirabad 24, Tharparkar 23, Jamshoro 22, Thatta 21, Mirpurkhas 169, Matiari 15, Tando Muhammad Khan 10, Tando Allahyar 8, Larkana, Sanghar and Badin seven each, Sujawal and Umerkot five each & Khairpur two.
Vaccination: Sharing vaccination data the Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shahsaid that 46,716,718 vaccinations have been administered upto February 22nd, and added during the last 24 hours 241,115 vaccines were inoculated – in total 46,957,833 vaccines have administered which constituted 86.47 percent of the vaccine eligible population. The chief minister urged people of the province to follow SOPs.
