Governor Punjab Chaudhry Mohammad Sarwar has said that Indian plan to create Hindu settlements in occupied Kashmir on the pattern of Israel will tantamount to be a suicide attack on regional peace. It will become difficult to avert war in the region, if United Nations Organization (UNO) and other international institutions do not take notice of this shameful plan of India. He expressed these views in his Tweet message as well as talking to PTI MPA Chaudhry Shahbaz and Latter-day Saint Charity’s delegation led by its Chairman Imran Taj and others, who called on him here at Governor House on Thursday.
Governor Punjab Chaudhry Mohammad Sarwar said the Indian Consul General Sundeep Chakarwarti has exposed the Indian plan of creating Hindu settlements in occupied Kashmir, which is in no way acceptable since it is a conspiracy to turn the Kashmiris’ majority into minority. He called upon the UNO and other international organizations to take strict notice of this Indian plan. Pakistan always stood with people of Kashmir and every sacrifice will be rendered for the freedom of Kashmiris.
Talking to Latter-day Saint Charity delegation, Governor Punjab Chaudhry Mohammad Sarwar said that clean drinking water will be made available to 20 million people of Punjab through Punjab Aab-e-Pak Authority by Year 2020. While the companies providing sub-standard water will be taken to task for the first time in Punjab by imposing fines on such companies and over two-year imprisonment to their owners, he mentioned.
Chaudhry Mohammad Sarwar said that government is also taking emergent measures in education sector and all the appointments right from Vice Chancellor to the lower posts in universities are being made on merit and transparently, asserting that work has also been started to switch over the varsities to solar energy.
In the meanwhile newly-appointed Punjab IGP (Inspector General of Police) Shoaib Dastgir called on Governor Punjab Chaudhry Mohammad Sarwar here at Governor House on Thursday.
