Police, PCB hold joint coordination meeting to discuss security

A joint coordination meeting of the Lahore police and the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) officials was held at Gaddafi Stadium here on Saturday to discuss security arrangements for the PSL-7 matches.

Capital City Police Officer (CCPO) Lahore Additional IG Fayyaz Ahmad Dev, along with Chairman PCB Ramiz Hassan Raja, presided the meeting, and reviewed security arrangements.

The PCB chairman expressed his complete satisfaction over the foolproof security arrangements and commended the efforts of Lahore police to promote national and international sports activities in the provincial capital.

DIG Operations Dr Abid Khan briefed the PCB chairman regarding the security arrangements made by the Lahore police for the PSL matches.

The CCPO said spectators were allowed to enter the stadium only after identification, and body search through four-layer security mechanism, devised by the Lahore police. Zero route has been provided to the teams during their movement from their place of stay to the stadium and vice versa, he added.
