ISLAMABAD – The federal government has issued the list of 10 best performing ministers for the first time in the history of Pakistan.
The performance of the ministries was measured on key performance indicators (KPIs). Special Assistant to PM on Establishment is being credited for introducing the first-ever quantifiable measure in the public sector to evaluate the performance of ministries.

The ranking was released in a ceremony where Prime Minister Imran Khan distributed rewards among the best performing ministries in the light of “The Performance Agreement”.
The Ministry of Communication, which is spearheaded by Murad Saeed, has secured the top position followed by Asad Umar’s Planning & Development Ministry and Poverty Alleviation and Social Safety Ministry.

Shafqat Mehmood’s Ministry of Education, Shireen Mazari’s Ministry of Human Rights, Khusro Bakhtayar’s Ministry of Industries & Production, Moeed Yusuf’s National Security Division, Abdul Razak Dawood’s Commerce & Trade, Sheikh Rashid Ahmed’s Ministry of Interior and Syed Fakhar Imam’s National Food Security are among the top ten ministries.
Speaking on the occasion, Prime Minister Imran Khan said that no system can succeed without punishment and retribution.
He also lauded Murad Saeed for showing exceptional performance.
