The exchange rate of Pakistani rupee strengthened by 90 paisas against the US dollar in the interbank trading on Thursday and closed at Rs 175.51 against the previous day’s closing of Rs 176.41.
According to Forex Association of Pakistan (FAP), the buying and selling rates of dollar in the open market recorded at Rs 175.8 and Rs 177.3, respectively.
Similarly, the price of euro depreciated by 90 paisas and closed at Rs 198.21 against the previous day’s closing at Rs 199.11.
The Japanese Yen remained unchanged to close at Rs 1.53, whereas a decrease of 96 paisas was witnessed in the exchange rate of British Pound, which was traded at Rs 237.88 as compared to its last closing at Rs 238.84. The exchange rates of Emirates Dirham and Saudi Riyal decreased by 25 paisas to close at Rs 47.78 and Rs 46.78 respectively.—APP
