ISLAMABAD – Prime Minister Imran Khan on Thursday paid tribute to the security forces for repulsing terrorist attacks in two districts of Balochistan province the previous night.
Terrorists attempted to attack security forces camps at two locations, Panjgur and Naushki, in Balochistan late Wednesday evening. Both attacks have been successfully repulsed while inflicting heavy casualties to terrorists, said ISPR in a statement.
In Panjgur, Terrorists tried to enter security forces camp from 2 locations. However, timely response by troops foiled terrorist attempt. During intense exchange of fire one soldier has been martyred. Terrorists have fled while their casualties are being ascertained.
In Naushki, Terrorists attempted to enter FC camp which was promptly responded. 4 Terrorists have been killed. One Officer has been injured during the shootout.
Taking to Twitter, the premier wrote: “We salute our brave security forces who repulsed terrorist attacks against security forces’ camps in Panjgur & Naushki, Balochistan. The nation stands united behind our security forces who continue to give great sacrifices to protect us.”

Meanwhile, Interior Minister Sheikh Rasheed Ahmed giving an update said that 15 terrorists were killed while four troops were martyred in the attacks.

In a video message on Twitter, the interior minister said nine terrorists were killed and four soldiers martyred in Naushki, whereas six terrorists killed in the Panjgur attack.
He also paid tribute to the security forces for successfully repulsing the terrorist attacks in Balochistan.
