KARACHI – Ahsan Ali and Will Smeed’s stunning batting performance helped Quetta Gladiators set a tougt target of 191 runs for Peshawar Zalmi in the second match of the seventh edition of Pakistan Super League (PSL 7) at the National Stadium in Karachi.
Ahsan made 73 off 46 balls while Smeed was short of three runs to hit the first ton of the tournament when he was removed by Sameen Gul at 97.
All-rounder Shoaib Malik will lead the Zalmi in today’s game as skipper Wahab Riaz and two other players – Kamran Akmal and Hazratullah Zazai – are currently in isolation after contracting COVID-19.
Sarfraz Ahmed is leading the Quetta Gladiators.
