Wife of Governor Punjab, Begum Perveen Sarwar announces installation of Solar-Powered Water Pumps for providing clean water across Punjab.
She said that in the first phase 2,000 Solar-Powered Water Pumps will be installed in the underserved and backward areas across Punjab where people face extreme clean water deprivation. By providing clean drinking water to the people, they can be saved from deadly diseases like Hepatitis.
The Sarwar Foundation is providing clean drinking water to 2.2 million people daily in Punjab, Balochistan and other parts of the country including Azad Kashmir.
While talking to representatives of various delegations and media in her office on Saturday, Begum Perveen Sarwar, wife of Governor Punjab and Chairperson of Sarwar Foundation said that we have been working to support the vulnerable communities across Punjab. Alhumdullilah, Sarwar Foundation is one of the largest NGO providers of clean water in Pakistan. She further added that Sarwar Foundation also has three state-of-the-art hospitals and Sarwar Foundation School in Pir Mahal where we are providing quality healthcare and education to the underprivileged.
What distinguishes humans from other living beings is our compassion for others and this is how we can make a difference in the lives of our brothers and sisters in need, she said.In response to a question, the wife of Governor Punjab said that installation of Solar-Powered Water pumps has been started from Nankana district under which work on more than 30 projects in other cities including Sangla Hill and Shahkot is in full swing.
We will install Solar-Powered Water pumps in poverty-stricken areas and 10 to 15 families will be able to get clean drinking water through one pump. She urged the philanthropists to come forward and support this initiative as the Holy Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) said that Giving Water to drink is the best charity.
