Fog continues to blanket parts of Punjab

Dense fog in various cities of Punjab including Lahore on night between Monday and Tuesday badly disrupted the road traffic and paralysed routine life, Dunya News reported. The fog has also affected the flight schedule at the Allama Iqbal International Airport.

According to details, the visibility has dropped very low on main roads in plain areas across the province due to which Motorway section from Lahore to Darkhana (M3), Motorway M4 from Shershah Interchange to Abdul Hakim, Motorway M4 from Toba Interchange to Pindi Bhattian, Motorway M5 from Shershah Interchange to Jalalpur Pirwala have been closed for all kind of traffic.

Dense for has also affected traffic on the National Highway in several cities including Multan, Mian Channu, Jahanian, Khanewal Ahmedpur Sharqia, Uch Sharif, Renala Khurd and Faisalabad as visibility was very low.

The Motorway police have advised the drivers to switch on fog lights while driving at very slow speed as the visibility was dropped to very low due to dense fog.

The Motorway police have also requested the people to stay home and avoid unnecessary travelling as visibility was very low at some places due to heavy fog.
