In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, a meeting of several socio-political activists was held in Jammu to discuss prevailing sociopolitical sce-nario of the territory. According to Kashmir Media Service, speaking on the occasion, Hurriyat leader and Chairman United Peace Alliance, Mir Shahid Saleem, said that Bharatiya Janata Party government in New Delhi was hell bent upon destroying everything which belonged to the people of Jammu and Kashmir.
He said, “Apart from our political and democ-ratic rights, our land rights our jobs and our re-sources everything is being snatched from us.”
The participants of the meeting called for united battle against the anti-Kashmir and anti-people poli-cies of New Delhi.
The prominent leaders and activists who took part in these deliberations included ID Khajuria, Ghanisham Charak, Ram Singh Chowhan, Sukhdev Singh, Pretam Singh, Ashwani Pradhan, Anil Cho-pra, Harsis Singh Kranti, Harbanse Singh, Dr Pritam Singh, Prempal Singh, Narender Singh Khalsa and Narender Khajuria.—KMS
