The Islamic Emirate’s supreme leader, Hibatullah Akhundzada, issued a statement regarding the migration of Afghans out of the country following the fall of Kabul to the Islamic Emirate.

The statement, which was issued on Tuesday evening, instructed the relevant officials, including provincial and district governors and religious leaders, to address the problems of those Afghans who seek to leave the country for political and economic problems.

The leader stated difficulties that the people have been facing while leaving the country:
“They face a bad situation along the way and in the camps, which causes discomfort to the relatives and every Afghan.

“Based on some biased programs, their beliefs, ethics, and ways of thinking are jeopardized.

“To receive asylum they are obliged to create scandals against Islam and the Islamic System or even to make fake documents.

“Instead of investing their skills and talents in the development of the country, they are obliged to engage in common jobs and even very low jobs.”

To stop Afghans from fleeing the country, the supreme leader instructed the provincial governors and other related officials to solve the problems of those who are trying to leave.

Afghans seeking to flee the country due to economic challenges called on the Islamic Emirate officials to facilitate job opportunities.

Wais, who is a local singer, has illegally crossed the harsh borders between Iran and Afghanistan to find a job in the neighboring country of Iran, but he was deported by the country’s officials.

“What we had earlier is no longer here anymore. What we had, we sold, but I was deported. We spent all the money, life is passing now but I am worried about the future, about what to eat. I am forced to go to another country but this time I don’t even have the money for illegal passage,” he said.

The supreme leader ordered the officials to “increase efforts to ensure security so that no one has a reason to fear others, and particularly no one should create obstacles for the activities of the traders, professional figures and experts.”

“His Excellency ordered the provincial governors to meet those citizens who leave the country due to economic and security problems in order to listen to their problems and assure them of their security,” said Ahmadullah Wasiq, deputy spokesman for the Islamic Emirate.—Agencies
