Punjab Launches Earth Notes To Drive Climate Action

Punjab’s Environment Protection and Climate Change Department has launched “Earth Notes” to promote public awareness, evidence-based discussion and action on climate and environmental issues.

The platform enables researchers, students, practitioners, journalists and citizens to share research, field experiences and practical solutions.

Its focus areas include climate change, air pollution, biodiversity, waste management, water, green economy, environmental law and climate technology..

Secretary EPCCD Silwat Saeed said the initiative would make environmental knowledge more accessible and strengthen engagement among the government, researchers and communities.

She stressed that environmental protection required public participation and credible research alongside government action.

Aligned with the Climate Resilient Punjab framework, Earth Notes also invites evidence-based contributions and aims to build a shared resource on Punjab’s environmental challenges and solutions.

The platform has already published articles on climate-resilient cities, biodiversity, climate technology and air pollution.
