Akhunzada Fazle Haq Mardan
A special function on the occasion of International Day of Persons with Disabilities was organized by the Special Education Department on Friday.
Dr. Noor Jahan of Psychology Department Abdul Wali Khan University Mardan was the special guest, Deputy Director Information Mardan Liaqat Amin,Muhammad Zubair, officers and officials of Special Education Department and other persons with disabilities participated in large numbers.
In this program, deaf people and children participated in recitation of Holy Quran, Naat Sharif and speech competitions. Which was much appreciated by the participants.
The deaf and dumb children also performed the national anthem and the welcome song.
Addressing the program, Dr. Noor Jahan said that the International Day of Persons with Disabilities was celebrated to highlight the importance and efforts of making special persons a part of the national mainstream.
