In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, National Conference Vice President, Omar Abdul-lah has pledged to fight till his last breath for the restoration of Kashmir’s special status and state-hood.
Omar Abdullah addressing a public rally in Gool area of Jammu said, “We are not fighting for ourselves and our homes but our fight is for you (people of Kashmir) and safeguarding your inter-ests.
Our fight is for the restoration of our rights which were snatched from us on August 5, 2019 and we will keep fighting till our last breath.”
He said this is the fight for truth and justice and those fighting for these do not take their steps back but take the struggle to its logical conclusion. The Modi-led Indian government abrogated Kashmir’s special status under Article 370 of the Constitution and bifurcated the state into union territories in Au-gust 2019.
Omar Abdullah also visited the family of mar-tyred Amir Magray — one of the four persons mar-tyred by Indian troops in the Hyderpora staged en-counter on November 15. Magray’s family de-manded immediate handing over of his body to them for performing last rites.
“Today the situation has reached a stage where unfortunately we have to lodge protests for the bod-ies of innocent civilians, Omar Abdullah said. He also demanded handing over of the body of the de-ceased to his family.—KMSJammu
