In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, APHC leader and the Chairman of Jammu and Kashmir Democratic Political Movement, Khawaja Firdous has said that India is active in its plan to change demography of the territory.
Khawaja Firdous in a statement issued in Srinagar said that India wanted to turn the Muslim majority status of IIOJK into a minority and in this regard, the authorities have illegally allotted more than 100 kanal lands to the Indian soldiers in Pulwama district.
He said that the people of Kashmir would not give their land illegally to non-Kashmiris in any case.
He said Kashmir is an internationally recognized disputed territory and is still unresolved. He added that it was the misperception of India if it understands that by deploying the Indian army in Kashmir, it will strengthen its illegal occupation over it.
Khawaja Firdous said that India should read writing on the wall that illegal occupation could not last longer. He deplored that the Indian troops were involved in massive human rights violations in the occupied territory.
The Hurriyat leader appealed to the global community and human rights organizations to play their practical role in preventing the Indian army’s oppression in the occupied territory.
Meanwhile, the Chairman of Islami Tanzeem-e-Azadi Jammu Kashmir Abdul Samad Inqilabi in a statement issued in Srinagar condemned the killing of innocent people, particularly the youth by Indian troops in so-called cordon and search operations in the occupied territory.
He said that India could not suppress the freedom struggle of the people of Kashmir through use of brute force and the freedom movement would be taken to its logical conclusion at all costs. —KMS
