Agriculture department has recovered 688 bags of fake fertilizer during a special crackdown launched against fake fertilizer and pesticides across the region here on Saturday.
In line with special directives of Commissioner Multan Division Dr Irshad Ahmed, the agriculture department launched a special crackdown against fake fertilizer and pesticides and conducted 236 raids across the region. The teams also imposed fine of Rs 272,000 on many dealers during the crackdown.
The agriculture department teams got registered FIRs against nine pesticide dealers for selling fake pesticides while nine dealers have also been arrested during the crackdown. —APP
