The government has mandated all TV channels to show daily the Pakistan map before airing the 9pm news bulletin, as per a notification issued by the Pakistan Electronic Media Regulatory Authority.

“All the news channels (both public and private) have to flash the political map of Pakistan for 2 seconds be-fore airing the news bulletin at 09:00 pm on regular basis,” read Pemra’s letter, titled ‘Stream-lining Correct Use of Pakistan Political Map’.
