Vice Chairman of the Jammu and Kashmir Insaf Party, Haji Mohammad sultan has strongly denounced the upsurge in the arrest spree of the youth and the political leaders and activists belonging to the Kashmir resistance movement at the hands of Indian forces.
Haji Mohammad sultan in a statement issued in Islamabad deplored that the
Indian troops were killing innocent Kashmiris, especially youth during cordon and search operations and fake encounters in the territory.
He also castigated the jail authorities for their inhuman and violentbehaviour against the illegally detained Hurriyat leaders and activists andadded that the detainees were deprived of the basic amenities, including diet and medical facilities, which had made their lives vulnerable to manyfatal diseases.
The Insaf Party leader, while condemning the brazen intimidation at thehands of Indian forces against the civil population in the territory on the so-called visit of Indian Home Minster, said that a visit by any Indianleader had always been not less than a dooms day for the people of Kashmir as they are caged in their homes without earning their livelihood.
Supporting the call given by illegally detained APHC Chairman Masarrat Aalam Butt, to observe complete shutdown on 27th October against the forcible occupation of India, he said that the people of Kashmir had never acceptedthe brazen invasion of Kashmir by India and they have resisted it tooth andnail right from day one.—INP
