Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) President Chaudhry Muhammad Yasin surrendered himself to police on Wednesday when a court rejected his pre-arrest bail petition in the case of the killings of two political workers at Kotli due to firing.
A case had been registered against Yasin and his two sons when two workers of a rival political party were shot dead at Mithi Jhund polling station in LA-12 Chirrhoi during the last general elections in AJK.
Both sons of PPP AJK president are already in jail. Earlier, Yasin reached the Kotli City police station from Islamabad in a caravan. Speaking on the occasion, he said he could have evaded arrest if he had wanted to. “But I am a man of crisis.—INP
