The Lahore Waste Management Company (LWMC) has ensured extra ordinary cleanliness arrangements for the 978th annual Urs of renowned Sufi Saint Syed Ali bin Osman Al-Hajvery, popularly known as Data Ganj Bakhsh.
The Lahore Waste Management Company has completed all arrangements for the Urs celebrations.
According to the plan formulated by LWMC, department has dedicated more than 60 workers for sweeping, liming and waste collection around Data Darbar.
The department has also deployed additional machinery to ensure foolproof cleanliness arrangements.
LWMC CEO Rafia Haider stated that the department has ensured extra ordinary cleanliness arrangements for Urs and in this regard all necessary requirement has been fulfilled.
She added that LWMC has dedicated its workers, provided additional waste bins and other required paraphernalia for the event.
She also said that the LWMC performs its duty well at every occasion, festival and season and best standard of cleanliness would be maintained during Urs and the complaints of the citizens would be resolved on priority basis.
She added that department will be providing exceptional cleanliness services regarding Urs and special washing will also be the part of plan followed by special cleanliness awareness activity which is being carried out on daily basis and will continue till end of Urs to sensitize maximum number of people to maintain cleanliness and cooperate with LWMC.
In this regard, the department has deployed two awareness and complaint resolution camp outside the darbar.
During the awareness activity more than 400 people have been sensitized to ensure cleanliness.
