Different areas of City receive heavy rain

The large parts of the provincial metropolis receive heavy rain sporadically on Sunday during the ongoing monsoon spell.

According to Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD), the areas included Cavalry Ground, Gulberg, Ichhra, Muslim Town and others received rain during the first half of the day.

The PMD informed that other areas of the Punjab including Sialkot, Gujranwala and Narowal districts also received rain.

The weather officials predicted that different areas of Punjab including Lahore, Sialkot, Gujranwala and Narowal districts could likely to receive rainfall.

The PMD predicted more rainfall in southeastern Sindh, northeastern Punjab, Potohar region, and Kashmir during the next 24 hours.

For the rains continuing in the monsoon season across Punjab, several areas of the country received intermittent heavy and light rainfall yesterday including the capital city.

Islamabad, other areas receive intermittent rainfall Islamabad, Murree, Azad Kashmir’s Muzaffarabad, Garhi Dopatta and other areas received rainfall turning the weather pleasant in the region.

Meanwhile, An 80-year-old man has got a new bride and reached the reception yard with great pomp and show making his grandchildren happier than ever, on Sunday.

According to a private TV channel, Abdul Razzaq who hails from village Jilla Arayen, Lodhran decided to wed.

His grandchildren respected their grandfather’s desire and made arrangements for the marriage of the octogenarian.

The grandchildren of the old man went to the bride’s house riding in dozens of cars and performed all the wedding rites and finally Abdul Razzaq wedded to his new 60-year-old bride.

The mirthful groom could not hide his pleasure and started dancing to express his happiness on this occasion. As per the Seraiki culture, the groom’s best mate accompanied him as ‘Shabala’.
