Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar has taken another vital step to provide better and quality medical facilities to the neurosurgery patients and has released funds of Rs. 300 million for the Punjab Institute of Neurosciences out of which world class Biplane Angiography Machine at a cost of Rs. 22 crore and 11 more ventilators including modern medical equipments will also be installed so that the institution can be further upgraded.
Prof. Dr. Khalid Mahmood, Executive Director, PINS, said that work has been started on priority basis for procurement of modern machinery for the Institute.
It will help in the diagnosis and treatment of brain and cerebral palsy which is no less than a breakthrough in the field of neuro illness and it will also be a welcome development for the Institution.
ED PINS further said that patients of Neuro Surgery, Trauma, Neuro Illness, Seal Pain and Brain Tumors are brought to PINS not only from Lahore city and Punjab but also from all over the country.
The installation of 11 new ventilators and biplane angiography machine will provide significant help in overcoming the daily rush of patients, he added. Prof. Khalid Mahmood said that the best treatment for the patients at Neuro Institute is the mission of the administration which will meet the expectations of the Government and the people by ensuring 100% implementation.
He further said that with the function of Biplane Machine, patients would not have to go to the private sector.
Instead of paying heavy fees, they would be provided free medical facilities as per the health friendly policy of Punjab Government and its credit go to which Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar and Provincial Health Minister Dr. Yasmeen Rashid, Prof. Dr. Khalid Mehmood concluded.
