The Sargodha Police have allegedly been patronizing rapists on the behest of a political leader.
Punjab IG Police Rao Sardar has taken notice of the incident and ordered RPO Sargodha to round up accused persons and initiate stern legal action them.
It is pertinent to mention here that Hamza Makhdoom, the son of a poultry shed owner Tariq Makhdoom had raped a married a woman along with two others when she visited the accused persons to collect her salary in the limits Mudh Ranjha Police.
Police registered a case against the rapists but failed to arrest the accused persons. The victim alleged that a politician was backing the rapists and police were reluctant to arrest them.
She further alleged that the accused party is hurling life threats to her and her family. Further investigation is underway.
