An immediate FIR was registered at the request of the mother. According to the preliminary investigation, the girl died after consuming poisonous pills. The provision of justice to the relatives of the slain is being ensured on priority basis.
IG Punjab Inspector General of Police (IGP) Inam Ghani on Sunday took notice of the incident of death of a girl after alleged rape in Gujarat and sought a report from RPO Gujranwala.
According to details, at the request of the girl’s mother, the Gujarat Police have registered an immediate FIR and arrested the main accused Salman. According to the preliminary investigation, the girl died after consuming poisonous pills.
The IG Police directed that no effort should be spared in providing justice to the family of the victim while bringing all aspects of the incident into light. “Strict legal action should be taken against all accused involved in the incident as soon as possible.”
