A court in the city on Monday threw out the pre-arrest bail applications filed by two suspects in female TikToker’s molestation case at Greater Iqbal Park (Minar-i-Pakistan) on August 14 when they told the court they wanted to withdraw their applications.
Abdur Rehman, Qasas, Ali Ahmed, Mudassar Hussain, and Bu Ali had filed the petitions through their counsels for pre-arrest bail since police were conducting raids on them to arrest them.
Now they took pleas that since accused were yet to be identified by the police through identification parade so they do not think their pre-arrest bail is necessary.
Meanwhile, a sessions court in Lahore took up for hearing the petition, seeking registration of a case against TikToker Ayesha Akram Beg and her friend Rambo (Monday).
Additional District and Sessions Judge Ijaz Gondal had earlier directed parties to the case to bring with them complete record on the date of hearing.
Mian Tauseef Ahmed, a citizen, had approached Shahdara police station for registration of the case against the TikToker and her friend.
