In a bid to contain the spread of COVID-19 and speed up the vaccination process, the Sindh government today (Sunday) announced new restrictions for unvaccinated people.
In a statement, the Sindh transport minister said that unvaccinated people would not be allowed to travel in the vehicles dedicated for the educational institutions after September 30.
“Those who have not been vaccinated against the coronavirus will not be allowed to use vehicles carrying employees of any office after September 15”, the statement added.
Meanwhile, the COVID-19 vaccination certificate will be made mandatory for travel on motorways from October 15, the provincial ministry further added.
Earlier on August 24, Federal Minister for Planning Asad Umar had said those who have not been fully vaccinated against coronavirus will not be allowed to use public transport from October 15.
Only fully vaccinated people will be allowed to board on both international and domestic flights from September 30.
Unvaccinated people visiting and working at malls, hotels, restaurants, and guest houses won’t be allowed inside after September 30.
Unvaccinated people will be barred from using public transport after October 15.
Only fully vaccinated people will be allowed on motorways and highways after October 31.
