Punjab Minister for Bait ul Maal and Social Welfare Yawar Abbas Bukhari has said the government would issue health cards to 35 million families in the province till December 31, 2021 to provide health cover to family members.
He said this while addressing a ceremony organized on the occasion of inauguration of Punjab Emergency Service (Rescue-1122) filed office in Sheenbagh area in Attock on Saturday.
On this occasion, Yawar has appreciated the services of 1122 personnel for saving the lives of victim of incidents and natural calamity.
He said that the young men who provide relief to the citizens in case of emergency are the real heroes of our society, who risk their lives to save the lives of others.
He added that in these past 16 years the seeds that were planted had become a fertile tree and now its network is even present at the tehsil level.
He said that such services increase the sense of security among the common citizens and we can all be proud and appreciative of this service.
He said that personnel and officers should formulate strategies to ensure minimum loss of life and property during any mishap or calamity.
