In Indian Illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, senior Hurriyat leader Professor Abdul Ghani Butt has said that Jammu and Kashmir is a dispute be-tween India and Pakistan and is a package of history which needs to be resolved as early as possible in the changing geo-political scenario.

Professor Butt in a media interview in Srinagar said that situation in the South Asian region is vola-tile which makes it imperative for the Indian leader-ship to change their rigid attitude and start a result oriented dialogue process with Pakistan on the Kashmir dispute.

“We can see light at the end of the tunnel and good sense prevail for the better future of the people of South Asia and the way for what is to resolve the dispute of Kashmir according the wishes of the people of Jammu and Kashmir,” he said.

He said Hurriyat is not a name but a concept deep rooted in the hearts of people of Kashmir so there is no question that Hurriyat is irrelevant in the present circumstances.

He asked India to come forward and start a dia-logue with Pakistan and the real representative of people of Kashmir to resolve the Kashmir dispute once and once for all. —KMS
