Murder
of Noor Mukadam
Murder of Noor Muqadam is indeed sad and depicts sad state of women in our society. The murdererer, S/o business house Jaffer brothers has a strong background.
He is a US national and son of resourceful people of Pakistan. We have seen one such shocking incident before. I’m referring to son of Sikandar Jataoi
Powerful people have a network of their own. In times of difficulty, they save each other. Many have joined hands with Jaffer brothers to save their son according to news published in a section of press.
Among them are high profile entrepreneurs running various types of business such as manufacturing units, factories and corporate communication firms in Karachi
Request is made to Prime Minister Imran Khan to indemnify all those who are operating back of screen to assist Jaffer brothers and treat them as culprits, putting them behind the bars too. Run a campaign on electronic and print media, if anyone knows such people, they should tell in confidence to law enforcement and their names will be kept in secret

Highlight own performance
PTI’s incumbent federal government headed by PM Imran Khan will be completing its third year in power four days after 74th Independence Day celebrations.
The federal ministers and the Prime Minister’s team of special assistants and media advisors are apparently more concerned about making appearances on TV channels in talk shows or feeding the media with tweets etc talking about the opposition parties and their leaders rather than saying any word about the federal and provincial governments’ performance particularly mentioning the measures being taken to check and control price hike of daily use essential articles and providing relief and assistance to the vulnerable segments of society while also combating COVID-19 pandemic .
Those treading the corridors of power in one capacity or the other should better be talking about the PTI’s federal and provincial governments than quite unnecessarily and ill-advisedly dilating on what the former prime minister and absconding leader of his own party is doing in London and what his brother and daughter are doing here to take over control of the party.Former PM and his daughter are getting massive media publicity for free in this way.
They should also no longer be talking or mentioning in any manner what Jahangir Tareen and his supporters are doing.
They had not posed any problem in the passage of federal and provincial budgets in any manner, so why unnecessarily provoke them to create problems every now and then.
Dilating on the opposition leaders saying and activities more than talking about the PTI’s federal and provincial governments only mean that they have nothing to say about their own governments performance.
Even in TV talk shows, they should be talking about their governments’ performance ignoring anchor persons politically motivated questions

Stable Afghanistan
Surely, the blame game that the present Afghan govt is so brazenly playing is for obscuring its own brutal failures in Afghanistan. This blame game of the Afghan government must cease forthwith.
Not only the Afghan government but the whole world should cogently know that a irenic and stable Afghanistan is in the interest of not only Pakistan but the entire region.
In view of the foregoing fact, accusing Pakistan for the ongoing upheaval in Afghanistan could be nothing but the figment of imagination of people in saddles in that brutally war-ravaged country.

Facts about Muharram
Here are 9 things you need to know about Muharram: The day marks the holy day of Ashura and the word ‘Muharram’ means forbidden and sinful.
Imam Hussain ibn-i-Ali, believed to be the third Imam of the Shia community, was the grandson of Prophet Muhammad and he was killed on this day.
He was killed by the army of the Caliph Yazid in 680 AD at the battle of Karbala situated in modern-day Iraq.
The Shia Muslim community mourn Imam Hussain Ali’s death by flagellating themselves with sharp objects on the day of Muharram.
They cut their bodies covered with mud and light bonfires in the streets and enact the battle of Karbala.
Some devotees visit Imam Hussain’s shrine in Karbala too. Imam Hussain’s death is interpreted by the Shia community as a symbol of the struggle against injustice, tyranny and oppression.
In modern times, some Shia Muslims do not adhere to the practice of self-flagellation because it is dangerous.
While the Shias flagellate, the Sunni Muslims fast on the 9th,10th and 11th day of Muharram, as it is believed that fasting on these days is a way to make amends for the sins of the coming year.
For Sunnis, Ashura marks the day that Prophet Moses and his followers (i.e. the children of Israel) were saved from Pharaoh by God by creating a path in the Red Sea.
