European Commission speaks in favour of Kashmiris

Governor of Punjab Chaudhry Mohammad Sarwar held telephonic conversation with Dr. Fabio Massimo Castaldo Vice President of European Parliament over Kashmir Issue, Dr. Fabio Massimo Castaldo and other members of EU Parliament concern over the alarming human rights situation in the Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOK).

The Vice President and 16 other members of EU Parliament in a letter to Ursula Von Der Leyen, President of the European Commission urged the European Union to raise its voice against the Indian forces’ violations of human rights in IIOJK.

Members of EU Parliament also appreciated PM Imran Khan’s efforts for peace in the region.

According to the details Governor Punjab Chaudhry Mohammad Sarwar who always remain active on diplomatic front for Kashmir issue, telephoned Dr. Fabio Massimo Castaldo Vice President of European Parliament and told him about human rights violations and cruelties by Indian army in Indian held Kashmir, ergo, Fabio Massimo Castaldo and other 16 members of European Parliament wrote a letter to the President and the Vice President European Commission.

They urged EU to take notice and force India through diplomatic pressure to stop human rights violations and other cruelties in IOK.

During conversation Dr. Fabio said that he and EU Parliament members cannot remain silent on the worst human rights violations in Occupied Kashmir.

He demanded an immediate end to the ongoing atrocities in Kashmir and asked India to provide basic human rights to the Kashmiri people.

Punjab Governor Chaudhry Mohammad Sarwar thanked Dr Fabio and other members for raising their voice for the rights of Kashmiris and said that India is violating basic human rights and innocent Kashmiris are being massacred by Indian forces. He said that until the Kashmir issue is not resolved, peace in the region can’t be maintained.

He said vociferously that Pakistan will always be standing by Kashmiri brothers and sisters and they will never be left alone.

“I am also in close contact with other members of EU and British Parliament over the Kashmir issue “, Governor Punjab added.
