Additional Inspector General of Police South Punjab, Capt (r) Zafar Iqbal Awan has said that the police, by setting an example of determination, established law and order in border areas of the province including Kacha area.
He said the police almost eliminated all criminal gang including “choto” gang through better strategy.
“Citizens’ confidence in law enforcement agencies has been restored and the fight against criminal will continue with the same spirit.”
Capt (r) Zafar Iqbal Awan expressed these views while meeting Regional Police Officer Dera Ghazi Khan Faisal Rana at South Punjab Police Office here. The law and order situation in Kacha area was reviewed and discussed during the meeting.
The AIG Police South Punjab said that a system of complete blockade has been devised on the entry and exits points of all the cities of the South Punjab to prevent movement of anti-social elements.
He further said that it has been decided to inspect the police stations and check records and listen to the problems of the citizens under the open door policy.
In the meeting, RPO DG Khan Faisal Rana also briefed the AIG on security arrangements in connection with the upcoming Muharramul Haram.
