Technical Education and Vocational Training Authority (TEVTA) will help providing vocational training facilities to the destitute and neglected children lodged in Child Protection and Welfare Bureau (CP&WP) to make them self-reliant. In this regard, a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed at the Child Protection Bureau here on Tuesday.
Chairperson TEVTA Ali Salman Siddique and Chairperson Child Protection Bureau signed the MoU in the presence of officers of both organizations.
According to the MoU, the TEVTA will provide training in Tailoring & Beautician Trades to the children of Child Protection Bureau. It will provide teaching staff for the said courses and shall also facilitate in providing coaching to the trainers/teachers from amongst the Child Protection Bureau for the training of children.
Chairperson Ali Salman Siddique said the TEVTA vision called for the provision of quality training in accordance with the market demand and job placement of its trainees.
Chairperson Child Protection Bureau Sara Ahmad said the MoU would help enabling the destitute and neglected children to become self-sufficient.
