Pakistan, Bahrain will ink MoU to boost on multi-sectoral cooperation

Pakistan and Bahrain are going to sign a memoran-dum of understanding to promote bilateral coopera-tion in diverse sectors and fields in next two or three days.

In this regard, both countries are holding 2nd Session of Pak-Bahrain Joint Ministerial Commis-sion (JMC) from Wednesday, in Manama and it will continue also on Thursday.

On the conclusion of the JMC, both the countries would ink the MoU which would provide a framework within which both countries can develop and undertake collaborative activities and projects; share knowledge and have integrated technical exchange and assistance in areas of mutual interest.

According to Board of Investment (BOI), The Bah-raini side will be chaired by the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Dr. Abdul Latif Bin Rashid Al Zayani and co-chaired by Federal Minister for Foreign Affairs Makhdoom Shah Mahmood Qureshi from Pakistan.

The delegation from Pakistan will comprise several high officials from Board of Investment, Petroleum Division, Ministry of Commerce, Ministry of Eco-nomic Affairs and Ministry of Overseas Pakistanis & Human Resource Development.

The meeting will focus on bilateral cooperation in various sectors including political, defence, eco-nomic, commerce, finance & banking, industry, public health, overseas employment, higher educa-tion, science and technology, information, culture & arts, agriculture & livestock, cultural cooperation and parliamentary exchanges.
