Prevention must to avoid dengue spread: Secy

Punjab Primary and Secondary Healthcare Secretary Sarah Aslam on Sunday directed the Department to intensify dengue prevention activities across the Punjab.

She appealed to the masses that on the auspicious occasion of Eidul Azha, take special care of cleanliness and avoid throwing filth of sacrificial animals in open places.

She underscored that precautionary measures against Dengue are very important and citizens should be more responsible in preventing Dengue during monsoon, especially rainwater should not be let accumulate in residential areas.

During last 24 hours no anymore case of Dengue has reported across the province. During this year, total 58 confirmed cases of dengue have been reported from all across the province.

Out the confirmed cases, 28 patients has been reported from Lahore. No new case of Dengue reported across the whole Province, yesterday.

No more dengue patient is undergoing treatment in the all hospitals of Lahore and throughout the province.

During the current year so far, 28 confirmed cases of dengue have been reported in Lahore and no patient is undergoing treatment in all public sector hospitals of the City.

During the past 24 hours, 341,864 indoor and 73,192 locations were checked across the Punjab while larvae was destroyed from 721 locations.

In Lahore, 50,123 houses and 7,964 outdoor places were checked for dengue larvae and 551 positive containers were destroyed.

A total of 28 dengue patients have been reported in Lahore during this year and at present no any more patient is undergoing treatment in hospitals.
