Buzdar alerts Wasa to monsoon rains

Chief Minister Punjab Sardar Usman Buzdar has directed WASA and administration to remain fully alert to deal with monsoon rain adding that early disposal of rainwater from low lying areas be ensured.

Wasa and administration should utilize every resource to drain out rainwater in a minimum period, he emphasised.

The CM made it clear that no negligence will be tolerated in the early disposal of rainwater so that the citizens may not face any difficulty.

Similarly, Wasa, traffic and administration officials should remain alert in the field to ensure smooth flow of traffic, he said.

I am personally monitoring the rain situation and the arrangements made for the disposable rainwater in different areas, concluded the CM.

Meanwhile, Chief Minister Usman Buzdar sought a report from RPO Gujranwala about the molestation of a girl child in Wazirabad and directed strict legal action against the detained accused.

The victim will be provided justice, he added. Meanwhile, the case has been registered by the police.
