In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, the Chairman of Jammu and Kashmir Peoples Association (JKPA), Aquib Wani, has condemned the brutal lynching of a Muslim youth, Ajaz Ahmed Dar, by cow vigilantes in Rajouri and demanded capital punishment for the killers of Dar.

Aquib Wani in a statement issued in Jammu deplored that lynching of Muslims in the name of cow protection has become a routine matter in the territory.

He said that in absence of any stringent law, the terrorists affiliated with extremist Hindu organizations executing such crimes were encouraged and their activities remained unchecked.

He said due to such incidents, there was a sense of fear among Muslim community whose members involved in cattle rearing are vulnerable to attack of such radical elements who enjoy patronage of many rightwing Hindu organisations and ruling BJP-RSS regime.—KMS
