Pakistan’s unshakeable stance on Kashmir
FROM last few weeks the statements like “Pakistan and India must resolve Kashmir dispute in a dignified and peaceful manner”, by top Pakistani civil-military leadership are projected negatively by some biased media groups and a small chunk of foreign funded analysts.
These anti-Pakistan elements are backed and funded by our enemies like India in order to project supremacy of India on Pakistan, which is totally wrong connotation of facts.
Pakistan’s top civil-military leadership has affirmed on various occasions that there would “never be a compromise” on the Kashmir issue at any cost. Pakistan and India have fought three wars, two of them over the state of Kashmir.
On 15 May 2021, an article by an Islamabad based writer was published in “South China Morning Post” in which he claimed that Pakistan’s top Military leadership has backed down over Kashmir issue.
He also tried to create an impression that the Civil – Military leadership is not on one page on core issues like Kashmir. But in reality, he was unable to link any fact and figure in his article.
Such type of articles are usually promoted by vested lobbies to demoralise Pakistan’s resolve over the core issue of Kashmir.
Such writers try to divert the attention of the world from the Indian HRV’s and undermine the issue of Kashmir.
This is one of the most sensitive issues for whole Pakistani nation and such fake news create societal division within the nation.
Such analysts or so-called impartial writers are trying to provide face saving to Indian government by generating sensitive but false news about Pakistani stance on IIOJ&K. Such news stories seem to be the sequel of “EU disinfo lab”.
It must be clear to whole nation and the world that the government and Military leadership of Pakistan cannot even think of giving space to India on principle position for Kashmir and Kashmir will always remain the top priority agenda in any type of political or diplomatic engagement with India.
COAS of Pakistan Army has repeatedly took strong stance over Kashmir and views that “Kashmir is life line of Pakistan”.
The enemies of Pakistan must remember one thing that Pakistan stands shoulder to shoulder with Kashmiri brethren.
It is pertinent to mention that Pakistan will extend all possible support to Kashmiris until their legitimate right to self-determination is accepted.
The Kashmir issue has been lingering since 1948 but like East Timor, it could be resolved along the lines of resolution of other international disputes.
Pakistan has invited India several times to come to the table of dialogue but India has always boycotted the dialogue process.
Pakistan’s desire for peaceful solution of IIOJ&K and call for dialogue must not be misinterpreted as a sign of weakness.
Our enemies should keep this in focus that Pakistan is capable and fully prepared to thwart any misadventure and aggression for defence of its motherland.
Despite persistent Indian mayhems for more than seven decades like unprecedented restrictions in freedom of speech, use of pellet guns, extra-judicial killing of innocent Kashmiris, incarceration of Kashmiri leadership and youth, fake encounters, custodial torture and deaths, Indian state-terrorism, destruction and burning of houses, cordon-and-search operations, enforced disappearances and all other methods of subjugation , India is powerless to break the determination of the Kashmiri people for the absolute right to self-determination. Over the years Kashmir has become the largest open-air prison in the world.
Pakistan remains decisively devoted to the resolution of Kashmir dispute through free and impartial plebiscite under the UN patronage as preserved in the relevant UNSC resolutions.
Narendar Modi is in confidence that he can do whatever he wants to do because nobody in the world can stop him.
When India don’t get anything to talk about Pakistan then it starts blaming Pakistan for stirring the unrest by backing separatist militants in Kashmir, but if we see the ground reality India is not having a single evidence against Pakistan.
In contrary, Pakistan has submitted dossier of Indian state sponsored terrorism in Pakistan in UN and other international forums.
Pakistan has attempted to internationalise the Kashmir issue through various international forums like United Nations, European parliament etc.
Pakistan strongly believe that Kashmir rightfully belongs to them or the Kashmiris. The plight of the Kashmiris is heard more than ever now.
It is the joint obligation of all member states of UNSC to warrant compliance by India of its international obligations.
International community should take practical steps to stop India from using her draconian laws and state-terrorism as a tool to destabilize the region.
Pakistanis urge the international community to play its role in putting pressure on India to reverse its illegal course in IIOJK and restore the Kashmiris’ fundamental human rights.
Presently, Kashmir issue has gained enormous international attention given the fact that both India and Pakistan are nuclear powers and this conflict represents a threat to regional security.
It is also the role of international community and leading influential powers of the world to bind India for urgent lifting of the media blackout and military siege, release of Kashmiri leaders and youth, immediate stop to human rights violations and end the liberty granted to Indian occupation forces under draconian laws.
