Inaugurated Monitoring Dashboard, Biometric Attendance System and Digital System of ACRs

Punjab Inspector General of Police Inam Ghani on Friday said that IT reforms in the Punjab Police will prove to be a “game-changer” in the smooth service delivery and protection of life, honour and property of the common man.

“These working systems designed with the aim of modern policing as these software and applications not only meet the needs of contemporary policing but are also being upgraded in the light of close monitoring, force and users feedback.”

IG Police Inam Ghani expressed the views while issuing instructions to all RPOs and other senior officers of the province at RPOs conference he chaired from Central Police Office here on Friday.

On the occasion, IGP Inam Ghani inaugurated the new IT projects of Punjab Police “Monitoring Dashboard, Biometric Attendance System and Digital System of ACRs.”

The IG Police pointed out that the new modern “Monitoring Dashboard” aims at improving performance of the force by making the process of supervision more efficient…

thanks to this system as officers will be able to get better results from subordinates with effective supervision.

He said that introduction of biometric attendance system in police stations is also an important need of the hour as it would enable effective monitoring of the professional affairs of the personnel assigned as per requirement on all duties including operation and investigation

. He informed that modern computerized system of writing Performance Evaluation Reports (ACRs) is an important achievement of the IT wing of Punjab Police which would eliminate unnecessary delays in submission of ACRs of subordinates.

He directed that all future performance evaluation reports (ACRs) of officers and personnel should be written under the new modern system.

The IG Police said that effective use of information technology is essential for rooting out crime and improving public service delivery. “

Full utilization of modern IT systems as per SOPs issued will improve the working of police stations and those who avoid use of these modern technology projects must be questioned”, Inam Ghani directed, adding that with the effective use of IT applications and software, all professional matters including police stations and police offices should be carried out in the best possible manner as these projects reflect more transparency and impartiality in police working.

DIG IT Waqas Nazir briefed the RPOs conference participants about the modern automated system for writing “Monitoring Dashboard” and Performance Evaluation Reports (ACRs).

Talking to the officers, he said that the officers from IG Punjab to DSP level would be able to get assistance in monitoring and executing professional matters as this modern monitoring dashboard would integrate strength of nuffree, crime, investigation, security, patrolling, inspection, discipline and record of police station alongwith other important wings into one place.

He added that Punjab Police has so far provided state-of-the-art IT projects for its service delivery to Gilgit-Baltistan and Sindh Police while Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Azad Kashmir Police are being provided modern IT projects for their service delivery in next coming days.

Talking to the officers, he said that they should ensure full utilization of the new systems introduced so that effective monitoring of professional affairs of the force could be ensured in order to improve the process of protection and service of life and property of the people.
