Senior political leader and Member Legislative Assembly of Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) Sardar Sagheer Chughtai was, reportedly, died when his car fell into river Jhelum at Pattan in the vicinity of Rawalpindi district after colliding with a vehicle coming from the opposite side on Thursday night, Deputy Inspector General police Rashid Naeem told on Friday.
Sardar Sagheer Chughtai was traveling to Islamabad when his car collided with a Suzuki car coming from the opposite side and plunged into deep river.
His driver and secretary were also in the car while the other car fell near bank of the river. A dead body and an injured were evacuated from the Suzuki car that collided with the MLA’s vehicle and shifted to Hospital in Rawalakot.—APP
