Speaker National Assembly Asad Qaiser called on Governor Punjab Chaudhry Mohammad Sarwar and congratulated him on his successful visit to the United States of America.
Governor Punjab and Speaker National Assembly suggested the opposition to play a positive role in Parliament instead of doing protest politics.
According to the details, Governor Punjab Chaudhry Muhammad Sarwar met with Speaker National Assembly Asad Qaiser at the Governor House Lahore. During the meeting, political, administrative and other issues were discussed.
Governor Punjab Chaudhry Mohammad Sarwar condemned the brutal murder of a Muslim family in Canada and extended condolences to the bereaved family.
Talking on the occasion, Governor Punjab, Chaudhry Mohammad Sarwar, said that the Prime Minister, Imran Khan, wants to take the country forward on all fronts, whereas the opposition is making it difficult.
He further said that the public has given the mandate to the PTI government and it will complete its constitutional term, adding that the general elections will be held on time.
Chaudhry Mohammad Sarwar said that the opposition has been pursuing a policy of non-compliance from day one, and the opposition is adamant about its stance regarding electoral reforms as well, and is not ready for negotiation with the government.
This undemocratic conduct of the opposition is contrary to the aspirations of the people.
The PTI Government wants fair and transparent elections in the future and the opposition must support electoral reforms, he added.
Governor Punjab said that Pakistan is moving in the right direction on the economic front. Everyone except the opposition parties is acknowledging the economic development of the country.
The government under the leadership of Prime Minister Imran Khan has been successful in economic revival despite Coronavirus Pandemic.
Speaker National Assembly Asad Qaiser while congratulating the Governor of Punjab Chaudhry Mohammad Sarwar on his successful visit to the USA said that Pakistan is making progress on economic and diplomatic fronts.
The PTI Government is strengthening all institutions under the leadership of Prime Minister Imran Khan, he maintained.
